Check if you already have it at the bottom of the keyboard when open , if you do , thats why. You need to turn that option off and then it will show as a notification. But i dont understant how that would be easier.....
I use Gboard, and If you long press on the space bar, you can switch to Samsung or any other keyboard.
However, if I switch to Samsung keyboard,it gives me no option to change it back to Gboard again (nothing at the bottom of the screen or anywhere else ).. and that's why I preferred it at the bottom of the notification screen. It was only present when you had a text Field open...
