Copying iOS is like Samsung waving the white flag. Which is weird because, besides last year, Samsung has outsold Apple every year since 2011. This would be like if Kendrick Lamar swagger jacked Drake for his next album. Obviously, this is above the customers pay grade which is apparent in the fact that the best we could come up with was to make it look like iOS. I'm not paying Samsung for iOS. Samsung has 10000 employees in research and development, and 40000 software engineers. They can do better than copying the competition. Samsung's losing any sense of identity and that feels like an L, not advancement. Design your own aesthetic instead of asking us.

That's my point. My point is that Samsung is better. That's my whole issue. There's all these customers posting in here asking for this to be like iOS or that to be like iOS. Samsung outsells them consistently, then people turn around and say make it like Apple. I'm a day one user. Loyal customers talk about this on Reddit, on YouTube, even reviews of the phone. I don't want Samsung to copy a company that's not as good. It makes it look like they think Apple is better.

It could be that Samsung might be considering making it easier to transition from iOS to Android, as I believe it's quite clever in my opinion.

Fair enough, though I would argue that a lot of what iOS brings to the table should be standard at this point and doesn't really come across as brand-unique features.

Kinda like how Drake's success defined what popularity looks like in hip hop. Even though you're playing by the standard someone else set, you could still innovate in ways the originator would never. Kendrick has come out with smooth radio friendly records that were still better and more impactful than any of the dancy sing-along hits Drake has put out.

Point is, originality is overrated. you shouldn't avoid a domain you know you could do well in just because someone got there first.

I'm talking about the look. Last year, Youtubers and bloggers kept comparing the look of One UI 6 to iOS. I didn't think it looked that much like it, but I also didn't really care. This year, I already saw an article call it a "iOS-looking update". I can see that more this year. I don't even think the pill shape fits the square phone. The S25 Ultra is going to be square with rounded edges. It feels off to me.

I remember when samsung came out with the galaxy s I was really impressed and looked forward in buying a new phone every year because of the new features they would come out with and putting ios to shame. How to see how they have settled for just a screen size and a fold and a flip is sad . With the research and development team they have we should be walking around with phones that have batteries that last much longer than they do and feature only Samsung can come up with get back to the basics Samsung and give us a phone only you can!

I miss those days. Lee Jae-yong promised that he's going to try to move back to being more innovative, but it feels like there's so many new customers that are asking for something else. I kind of wish more of the older customers would be more vocal about keeping that Galaxy DNA. It had something truly special for years. I feel like it's still there, and I'm scared they're going to lose it. Maybe I'm just a relic holding on to "the good old days." I don't want to stop progress, but there has to be a better path than this.
