I would like to suggest adding the 24MP resolution option directly to the stock Camera appโs Photo mode for the S25 Ultra in One UI 8.5.
Current Issue:
Currently, users can only access the 24MP "computational RAW" mode through the separate Expert RAW app. While Expert RAW is great for post-processing, the default Photo mode is limited to 12MP, 50MP, and 200MP.Why this is needed:
12MP often lacks the fine detail that the S25 Ultra's 200MP sensor is capable of, but 50MP/200MP files are too large and lack color. 24MP provides a perfect balance of clarity and storage efficiency.
Many users want the benefit of 24MP detail while using the standard AI processing and "point-and-shoot" simplicity of the regular Photo mode, without having to switch apps.
Other flagship manufacturers have already implemented 24MP as a default or optional standard resolution to maximize sensor potential.
Bringing this feature to the regular Camera app would greatly enhance the daily photography experience for S25 Ultra users. Thank you!
Is their inside info stating it be will added? I have have asked for this since I bought my S25U almost year ago. It was requested a few times during the 8.0 beta run.
Yeah, I know it's really good. I don't understand why Samsung kept it only for Expert Raw. It's coming from people who are using the S26U now, so it's a matter of time until it's added to the S25U.
