I kindly request that Samsung Messages not be discontinued in favor of Google Messages. As a dedicated Samsung customer for many years, having invested significantly in various devices, I believe that discontinuing Samsung Messages would be an unfavorable decision for your customer base. The customization features within the Samsung Message app are highly valued. I hope you understand that AI features in messaging may not be a priority for all users, as myself. I urge you to consider this feedback. The potential discontinuation of Samsung Messages could compel some customers to explore alternative platforms, such as the iPhone. I anticipate a reconsideration of this matter and look forward to continuing our patronage with Samsung. Thank you for your attention to this important issue.

I'm sorry this change has been a long time coming. Google Messages in its current state offers so many modern day options for all users and adapting to it will be very easy!

Currently that is not going to happen. For Samsung to maintain another fully operational messaging app with RCS support costs money. Then it is up to the carriers to how many different messaging app they will allow to use RCS. That wold mean carriers having to maintain functions where people communicate between different apps, like one person using Samsung Messages, the other using Google. That mean making sure two RCS chat modules are actually using E2E messaging is testing and certifying.

Other than using Google Messages, then I suggest moving to another brand that uses their own proprietary messaging app with RCS feature that are fully functional (currently only Google has that), like start using the iPhone.

If samsung messages is indeed removed, this will turn many people away. We all have our own opinions, but Samsung needs to poll their users on their own sites to gain confirmation of the seriousness of this. Google or their messages aren't modern with the tools we have and carriers and ultimately Samsung has to respect that Samsung has had rcs from the beginning, and the loss on both sides if stripped away. To remove something like this without honoring the user is wrong and unlawful. I'm hoping that they're both smart and aware of the petitions and feedback, and resend this idea. I understand they have business and so do we. Maybe honor and grandfather in certain tenured users with the option but to just remove it no that's not smart.

I've been on Google Messages for years and Google has had RSC for as long as I can remember. It's not just a Samsung thing pal. I do believe that if you gave Google Messages half a chance that you would like it a lot better than Samsung Messages. Like you said though, it's just my opinion !!

I previously utilized Samsung Messages and found its user experience to be highly satisfactory, particularly appreciating its streamlined interface. While it offered fewer customization options, the available choices were well-implemented. Furthermore, its design seamlessly integrated with the Samsung ecosystem, distinguishing it from Google Messages.

It is regrettable to note the discontinuation of Samsung Messages. Although Google Messages is a competent application, its aesthetic and functional approach differs significantly from what Samsung previously provided.

Samsung has been upfront regarding Samsung Messages for over 2 years now. This isn't something new, nor should it be a surprise to everyone. At this stage in the game, I consider it highly unlikely that Samsung is going to suddenly change their mind.
