So, I've found that if and when something doesn't work, after I restart my phone, things seem to talk back into working order. Hopefully this helps someone.

Try finding your phone with a smart tag 2 if you have one because mine crashes when I do it and I can't clear the alert lol

You think it'd be common knowledge but people still need to be reminded of the basics. When you restart you restart with a brand new session and all of the code conflicts that can arise, especially in a beta build, will be reset from there various values. Code is a lot of if this then this happens and this number equals this so then do that and with beta builds there are still conflicts that need to be worked out but restarting is the best way to fix most things
