For an improved user experience, it's best to have the default keyboard readily available when using the search function. This, I believe, simplifies the process.

I think if anything if the keyboard pops up right away that can get annoying real fast, (as my keyboard has done that with other apps, that I didn't wanna start using the keyboard for right away)

There should be a toggle to launch the keyboard by default or no keyboard until you press the search bar. So, both types of users have good experience using it.
