I updated my Galaxy S23 Ultra to the One UI 7 Beta today, and boy what a mistake it was.
If you're like a lot of people, including myself, you debloat your bloatware addled OEM software to clear out clutter, and you use third party applications from places like XDA or GitHub.
DO NOT, and I say again, DO NOT attempt to update to the beta software without rebloating every single system application. I rolled the dice and low and behold, boot loop immediately upon installation with factory reset being the only option without getting into the nuts and bolts.
Be extremely weary of using any third party applications that you can't also get on Google Play or Galaxy Store.
I don't know specifically what triggered the boot loop in my situation, but it was almost surely due to a certain system app being debloated that didn't cause issues on One UI 6, but now suddenly does.
This may seem like common sense to some, but impatience and laziness grips us all sometimes and barrel forward cutting corners. Do so at your own risk!
In terms of the actual beta (now that I factory reset my phone, I can access it), the visual enhancements are extremely appealing. A much needed upgrade over several bland components. However, as to be expected, the UI and animations are still very buggy and slow to respond, especially the notifications/quick menu gestures (absolute nightmare).
Appreciate the tip. I had debloated a bit prior to the beta. I had no issues updating so I'm guessing either you removed something critical or you were unlucky
