Anyone else having issues? Mine sometimes dims in the light or stays so bright in the dark it hurts my eyes in the dark. I've tried turning it off and back on. But it doesn't help.

It really doesn't work as it should....but you should adjust brightness yourself.. save a good chunk of battery

The beta completely messed up my automatic brightness. It's way too bright in the dark.

Auto Brightness has been Adaptive Brightness for quite some time. It "supposedly" learns where you set the brightness level during certain lighting situations. However, this, evidently, also includes accidental changes, and it just plain sucks, and was best as regular Auto Brightness.
I suggest you routinely reset the Adaptive Brightness usage statistics. This will keep it closer to a regular Auto Brightness.
All you have to do is clear the data for the Device Health Services app. Then toggle Adaptive Brightness off then back on.

Normally, mine works great. However, it has messed up when outside in bright daylight. It actually gets darker, and there's nothing I can do, I have to go inside, then turn Adaptive brightness off.
Turning it off when outside doesn't work. And the brightness slider will go to max, but isn't max brightness.
