My s26 ultra wasn't working with wireless android auto on one ui 8.5, and still isn't working with one ui 9. Works fine with a wired connection. So annoying.

Just for information, my S26 Ultra works just fine with our two cars wirelessly. I'm running ui9 also (both cars are 2024 Lincoln Nautilus).

Same here with 2026 Chevy Silverado 3500HD. However, wireless connection was also not working or in an endless disconnect reconnect loop on 8.5 as well. Works fine with wired connection

There is an option under Android auto settings to automatically connect to your device wirelessly every time. It's such a headache tho. Sometimes with my 25 Toyota camry. I have connection issues when I do remote start cause it doesn't detect the phone inside the car for connection.

Same symptom here โ€” S25 Ultra, wireless AA, audio skipping like a scratched CD, then "Android Auto not detected" and reconnect loops. Wired USB is flawless and plain Bluetooth is flawless, so it's specific to Android Auto's wireless link, not the phone or the car.

What fixed it for me: I joined the Android Auto app beta (open the Play Store listing for Android Auto, scroll to the beta signup, join), let it update, and reconnected. Skipping stopped. Important: this is Google's Android Auto app beta, NOT the Samsung One UI beta โ€” two different things. There's clearly a fix in the AA beta branch that hasn't reached stable.

Worth trying before you give up and go wired. (The Bluetooth LE Audio Mode toggle everyone recommends is missing on my build, so that wasn't an option for me either.)
