I think you might want to wait a few days after the update before assessing battery life. let the phone get settled down after the update.

You can't possibly judge the battery life of an update after only a few hours. You need at least a couple of days

Installing a new beta and wiping cache makes battery optimization reset itself and relearn a good majority of how you use the device. I agree with the above responses, give it a few days and then we can talk about it. I too have some higher than normal drain but my device is also auto updating apps constantly right now.
