I have come across numerous posts stating that this is a beta build and, as such, it is expected to have bugs and issues. However, as a software developer myself, I do not expect a beta build to be this buggy. Software testing and quality assurance are integral parts of the development process and these issues should not have passed the alpha phase. I feel that Samsung may have been desperate to make the Android 14 beta available to users, perhaps in an attempt to stay ahead of their competitors.

Okay. I mean, you don't understand what beta means, so your opinion on my programming experience isn't really important to me.

I laughed a bit when you said "Samsung may have been desperate to make the Android 14 beta available to users," considering Android 14 itself is still in beta. Google has not released a stable version of Android 14 so how would Samsung be desperate considering not even the Pixel have stable releases? I am guessing this is your first Samsung beta considering for Samsung releases this 1st beta is actually pretty good.

I am not saying that beta needs to be bug free. But the bugs shouldn't be so obvious. Beta builds are to let real users use the os as everyone uses their phone a bit differently which helps to find issues in edge cases.

The beta programs for Samsung will include some obvious bugs. Also the next beta may not even be built off the same code thread. They've had multiple builds before and merged parts. It's not always what you'd expect but after a few of them it starts to make sense. It's definitely not for people who expect a cleaner beta process.

Having been in many phone OS betas, on iOS and android, I find this beta to be pretty solid.

I think it's pretty unhelpful to be making judgements about Samsungs business or assuming things about the complexity of the OneUI and how it integrates with Android.

I am grateful that Samsung lets us provide feedback like this, and if the bugs you are hitting are really bothering you, projecting that frustration doesn't help.

Actionable feedback reports do.
