Am I crazy? I can't seem to find an option to disable battery percentage in the status bar.

Correct. You can also type "Status Bar" in the search located in the app drawer at the bottom. I personally, if I can't find something, use the search function. It's very convenient.

This has always been done via QuickStar. So far QuickStar isn't compatible with the Beta.

That's false. It used to be done in the status bar section in notification settings. They removed it which is a huge mistake as many users don't like to see the battery percentage at all times.

@Hx12 Ok, my bad. QuickStar must be used to completely remove battery information from the Status bar.

In UI 8 Notification settings, you can disable the percentage but the pill remains. 

In UI 8.5 Notification settings, you can disable the pill but the percentage remains.
