Dismissing notifications from the icon long-press is still broken.

Before the beta, I used to long press an icon and then rapidly swipe away multiple notifications in rapid succession. In beta 6, I can swipe only once before having to re-initiate a long-press, which now only allows for a single swipe. For example, if I have 12 notifications in YouTube, I have to
1. Long press icon
2. Swipe way notification
3. Undo long press of icon
4. Redo long press of icon
5. Swipe away notification
6. Repeat this process 10 more times.

This is not correct.

I know I can swipe away faster from the notification shade, but doing it from the pop-up of the specific icon ensured that I would only swipe away notifications from that specific app, which was very convenient and care -free.

Samsung, please fix this. This bug started with beta 6 version 1, and unfortunately persists in beta 6 version 2. Bug reports have already been sent. Thank you.

Have you tried just swiping the notification away? That's how I clear mine now.

From the expanded notification, when you swipe down from the top of the screen. How do you access notifications?

You can now dismiss all notifications. None is sticky/permanent as it was in UI 5.1.

Yes, I know. I would direct you to the second-to-last paragraph of my post. Anyhow, the current behavior that I've described with the icon pop-up menu is a bug.

Update: beta 3, fixed for the most part. An app's principal icon works properly now. But home screen shortcut icons that map to a particular part of an app now show notifications that can't be dismissed. For example, the icon for a particular news feed from Google News.

Update: maybe not fixed. Some home screen icons still do not want to dismiss notifications when long pressed. For example, Twitter otherwise known as capital x. Perhaps there is a setting I'm not checking.
