More bad news for the 24U. šŸ˜”

About the Video:

Samsung is saying that the S24 Ultra can't handle some of the AI features of the S25 Ultra, which I find hard to believe! If this is true and Samsung will not be putting some of the new AI features on the S24 Ultra, then it sets a terrible precedent moving forward for future phones, and cast doubt onto the S25 Ultra!

It's all BS. I'm honestly thinking of leaving Samsung is they keep pulling these stunts. The S24 Ultra should definitely get the audio eraser that the S25 Ultra has and same with the Now Brief. It is definitely powerful enough and I get Samsung won't add all the features from the S25 series to the S24 series but come on. They're giving us nothing while also delaying the stable release. They need to get their game up.

The only thing keeping me with Samsung is the S Pen. I've tried other styli with devices and it just isn't the same. If Samsung is going to dumb down the defining feature of the Ultra and make the S Pen just another plastic stick like everything else, what reason do we old Note fans have left to remain loyal? My heart aches for the Samsung of ten years ago, when Samsung Mobile was daring, innovative and packed everything they could think of into their devices. Now it's all profit margin and replacing true human innovation with the same artificial garbage everyone else has.

The decline of Samsung's innovation continues with the discontinuation of DEX and Windows 11 support. The Link to Windows feature is no substitute for the ease and familiarity of using DEX on a smart TV, with its seamless Windows environment interface. It was fantastic using my phone as a mouse and the onboard keyboard on my TV.

Samsung seems determined to emulate Apple by removing the unique features that made the Note and Ultra series stand out. While Apple is known for its walled garden, Android users have traditionally enjoyed a multitude of choices.

Fortunately, competition is on the rise. OnePlus is already surpassing Samsung in certain aspects, and Google is making significant strides as well.

Regarding subscription models, it's evident that the industry is moving in that direction, including hardware. Samsung is clearly shifting towards a leasing model, encouraging yearly trade-ins for around $500. They then resell these trade-ins for a tidy profit.

Consumers who buy through carriers at $30 per month can upgrade annually with minimal financial strain.

However, for those who prefer to keep their current devices with features like the Bluetooth S Pen, squared design, and rounded edges, there's no reason to feel pressured into trading in.

Arbitrarily withholding software features is unacceptable. If a year-old phone can't handle new software, it raises questions about the value of the premium price paid. But we know this isn't the case, and itā€™s infuriating.

Beta testers are typically power users. We recognize when we're being taken advantage of and need to vote with our wallets.

Not only that, but they're also gonna add a paywall to Galaxy AI? It's all B.S. They're a multi-billion dollar company and they're currently growing even though Galaxy AI is currently free meaning they'll be fine leaving it free forever and we won't even mention how expensive the phones are and they're literally marketed around AI and now they'll add a paywall?

We knew that would happen. We were told at the Unpacked event for the S24 that Galaxy AI features would be provided at no cost for at least a year... meaning "just enough time to get used to them and rely on them before a subscription is imposed". That's why I try to not use them. Everything is moving away from outright purchases to subscriptions because it's a more stable revenue model. I'm pretty happy with my S24 Ultra as it is: and if Samsung cripples the AI features, I probably won't miss them.

Seems companies didn't learn from Microsoft's blunder with the Xbox One.
