DiscussionsP.S.
Turning off the media player in the "Now Bar" settings is not the solution I'm looking for, because it also disables the playback controls on the lock screen and elsewhere.
I only want to remove the music info from the status bar, nothing more. Just like how it was before the update.
===
I've been trying to find a way to remove the music info that appears in the status bar when something is playing, but after spending hours researching, I still haven’t found any working solution.
If anyone knows a reliable way to turn this off, I’d really appreciate your help.
Others have already raised similar concerns — like in this post:https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Discussions/Any-way-to-remove-Now-Bar-from-Status-Bar/td-p/31743...
But it seems no meaningful changes have been made so far. This makes me wonder what the point of having a community forum is, if clear feedback like this isn't being addressed.
In my case, I'm using Spotify, and the music display in the status bar is incredibly distracting. The song title scrolls quickly, and the colors flash and change every time the track changes. It becomes very hard to focus on the actual content of the screen — especially for users who are sensitive to motion or visuals.
Has the One UI design team seriously considered the impact on people with visual sensitivity? From a UX perspective, this feels like a serious oversight.
Do users really need to see the song title at all times, especially when they’re already listening and likely know what’s playing? The usefulness of this feature feels very limited — especially compared to the distraction it causes.
I do appreciate the continuous updates and new features Samsung provides. But designers also need to understand that not every change improves the user experience for everyone. At the very least, shouldn’t users be given the option to revert changes like this?
I sincerely hope this gets fixed soon. Thank you.

DiscussionsThank you for your comment — However, the solution you mentioned also removes the playback controls from the lock screen, which is not what I want.
What I'm specifically asking for is a way to hide the music information only from the status bar, while keeping all other playback features (like on the lock screen or in notifications) intact.
In other words, I simply want the behavior to go back to how it was before the recent UI update — where music didn’t force its way into the status bar.

DiscussionsAdd a playback (music player) widget to the lock screen. LockStar will be needed to do this.
If LockStar is not installed, then go to the Galaxy Store, download Good Lock. Open that then search for LockStar and install that plugin.
Now while on the lock screen, press and hold any blank area then use the whatever number/pattern etc is used to unlock it. Then LockStar will be in the navigation area at the bottom. Click on the app, choose Widget Apps in the drop down and place the music player that is wanted there.

DiscussionsThank you for your thoughtful explanation — I really appreciate the time you took to share it.
I followed your suggestion and saw that the Spotify widget does appear on the lock screen, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations.
First, the widget only allows basic controls like play and pause — there's no option to set repeat playback, which I often use. Also, the design is quite colorful and visually noisy, which is a big issue for me.
Most importantly, using this method removes the media controls from the Quick Settings panel.
I frequently swipe down to access playback controls without opening the Spotify app, and losing that functionality is a major drawback.
So again, thank you for your help — but sadly, this isn't quite the solution I'm looking fo

DiscussionsThen that will be a Spotify issue if those specific controls are not in the quick panel. Samsung does not provide the music apps. I have YouTube premium and I have the controls in the quick panel as I do in the actual app (except for likes, making playlists etc).

DiscussionsHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
You can also turn of "Media Player" Under Live Notification settings (Under Lock screen and AOD) if you would like to see the music information just on your apps (Spotify, Youtube Music...).
However, please dont' hesitate to leave any suggestions or feedback regarding to the status bar / live notification section and we will share them with the relevant team for review.
Thank you again for supporting the One UI Beta Program.
Regards,
One UI Beta Team

DiscussionsThis worked for me, though the settings aren't available through navigation under "Lock Screen and AOD" for me. I had to use the search feature to look for "Live Notifications" (which does say it is under "Lock Screen and AOD").
I'd recommend being able to navigate to this setting from the "Notification settings" page since you see that link when pulling down the status bar.
Thank you for the help!
