DiscussionsI like that the Samsung Beta Moderators watching feedback for the Watch Beta are doing a good job responding to and implementing feedback as much as possible. But one concern is the Galaxy Watches that are not in the Beta Program, when are they getting a new update? Like, the Galaxy Watch 6 Series got a big-ish update in March 2024 and then a fix update in April 2024, and no updates have come for them ever since. What is the hold up for them? There are also downsides when a Beta Program is going on for Galaxy Watch, there are no updates for non-beta users until the Beta is finished, so there are no appetizer or up-to-date security patch levels, the non-beta models are still on the March 2024 Patch Level, 6 months beyond the average Quarterly (2-3 month) schedule.

DiscussionsThat is the big-ish update I was talking about. The Galaxy Watch 6 Series got a fix update for some touchscreen issues back in April and then no updates have come ever since, a simple security patch update would be fine so it would be up-to-date and not a 6 month old patch level

DiscussionsHello @MatthewReiter,
Thank you for always providing valuable feedback and comments during Beta program.
As "unfair" as it sounds, April 2024 was the last security update for One UI 5.0, as it was the finalized version that includes majority of the fixes and stability in the software. Unlike the transition between One UI 4.0 and 5.0, One UI 5.0 to 6.0 involves with Galaxy7/Ultra models, which has implemented major changes that are compatible with the latest model, but not for Watch 4/5/6 yet. One of the main observations can be seen from Watch Faces, where it was causing multiple side issue (Battery draining/discharging, CPU overheating...) or syncing issue (Calendar/Notifications/Message...)...etc.
For LTE Watch models, software infrastructures can become tricky and risky once the Carriers specifications are involved (Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS....).
Bottom line, we always want to provide the best One UI experience to the users and always want to grow from our customers' responses/feedback/critiqueš. (As you mentioned earlier about the horizontal growth and "plain/boring" updates, we are striving to make One UI 6.0 "boring yet stable" once release)
Regards,
One UI Beta Team
