DiscussionsBut whenever My antivirus software application runs both their automatic or manually activated virus scans on my phone, it always flags this tethering provision application. This is an issue that I've experienced from the first beta release of one UI 7/Android 15 software update. Has anyone else (who runs antivirus applications) noticed similar things? I alternate between Avast and Surfsharks Antivirus protection features, the why behind that? Don't ask, I just do.

I've gotta echo the sentiment that in my (rather extensive) experience with mobile devices, antivirus applications do more harm than good. I say this as a former hobbyist kernel/software developer... No one really uses antivirus on Android.

I'd ask the antiviral companies you use. They probably need to update their signatures for the new feature or the new way of implementing it.
