I think when Android 13 comes, it will be with Google messaging. I know I read somewhere that Samsung was gonna make it stock but idk if that's new phones or with the 13 update

I'm with OP...... Google is tied to too many things in the ecosystem and I don't like how I start having weird suggestions pop up based upon things that I say around my Google products. It's really annoying

You can turn that off in gmail settings on desktop. (Smart features and personalization in other Google products).
