My gallery is now working

I has a problem with my gallery not working. I gif it working today.

How did you get it work?

Step 1.. Go to settings.
2) then go to gallery
3). Click FORCE STOP OF THE APP
4). Then click STORAGE
5). CLEAR CACHE
6). then I went to BATTERY. abs made sure it was set to unrestricted.

Then I restarted the phone....

I wish that Samsung would just give us either the ability to uninstall Gallery or allow other Photos apps to be the default. I use Google Photos and I'm constantly having to do work arounds because Gallery gets in the way.
