I use this app called the system UI tuner on the Google Play store. I use it because I like having immersive mode turned on for some apps and I like to have most of my apps either on show camera cut out or Auto mode, so for the apps that I don't have blacklisted on the system UI tuner app whenever I use the keyboard my status bar gets a black line. For this example I'm using two apps the first one is Google, I have Google to show camera cut out on display settings, but in the system UI tuner app I have it blacklisted so immersive mode doesn't affect it, and whenever I use the keyboard the status bar looks normal.

Here's a app by Google that uses the same display settings (show camera cut-out), but it's not blacklisted on the system UI tuner app, the status bar looks like this

I know the display settings isn't the problem, there's something that happened to the system ui tuner app when I updated to Android 16

Please let me know how this can be fixed, I hope I don't have to uninstall system UI tuner. It's the only reason I use it.

in the preview of the images you can tell the difference, there's a black line on the top

Well the app is not updated to the one ui 8.0 since it's beta just released to the public today. Its made changes to the status bar areas that disabled many Good Lock plugins.

Anyway, have you tried uninstalling the app and then reapplying it?

If that does not work and you really have to have it, then you will need to rollback your software beta back to 7.0 and that will reset the phone back to factory settings. If you do this, back up your data, etc first.
