Unfortunately this is a consequence of using Beta software. It'd be nice if there was a specific warning for this. It's disabled for security purposes until the software is out of Beta

Agreed. It happens every year during the beta and yet I usually forget that I have to switch to Samsung Pay every year as well after I join the beta.

A warning before installing would definitely be helpful for those that aren't aware that they will lose contactless payment with gpay during the entire beta period.

Hello,

During beta program, the software is not yet certified by Google, and therefore Google Pay and other secure services may not work. We apologize for the inconvenience and will post a notice once it becomes certified by Google. You may try again at that time.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team
