It doesn't bother me THAT MUCH and it's just an opinion thing but i personally don't like the new notification design and i'd wish they'd go back to the white icon with the background

I agree. It caught me off guard when I first saw it after the 2nd update. Nonetheless, it's something we'll get used to if it stays. Going off previous betas from the past years, changes like this can be implemented for one version and taken away the next. That's the nature of betas, but it's still an interesting design change. It'll grow on us😝

I like it a lot. It is so much easier to tell the notifications apart now. Before, they all kinda looked the same.

I far prefer this, because I value being able to differentiation between notifications more than the icons matching in appearance.

But I'm all for more customization options. Give people to ability to choose which style they want.
