I got into the One UI 8 beta this morning on my unlocked S24 Ultra on T-Mobile and wanted to share my observations so far.
First, the very long time it takes to check for Google Play app updates in One UI 7 has been fixed.
Second, haptic feedback is stronger when typing, at least using SwiftKey. I've only gotten one call today, so I can't say if the vibration for calls has also changed.
In terms of battery life, I can't tell yet, since the update used some, then I did a partial recharge, but it doesn't seem worse than before and may be better. I'll know more tomorrow.
Overall, the experience has been really smooth so far. I definitely don't regret updating.
If you do update, don't forget to update all your apps in the Galaxy Store and Google Play.
You first have to enroll. To do that, open the Members app on your phone. On the main page, scroll down until you see the beta banner and tap it. You'll then be taken to a page that shows if you're eligible for any beta programs. If you see the One UI 8 beta, tap it and enroll. After that, go into your phone's settings and check for updates. That will start the download.
