Phone App Navigation Buttons MIA

Coming from the lock screen back to the phone app after a phone call, the navigation buttons are missing. 

Screen shots don't capture the navigation buttons , but they are gone. 

Go to another app and back to phone app for the navigation buttons to reapear.
