When not expanded the icon is plain dark blue but when expanded it matches color pallete

I see what you mean. I dont think its a bug but more of an oversight or maybe its meant to be that way but if one has their colors set to their preferences then those colors should be applied to all categories should you choose it to do so. Good catch, i didn't notice till now.
