RCS not connecting with Google Messages

RCS has not connected since the software install, having to force everything using SMS.

Tried the disable SIM trick, and the other old standards, they didn't work. What did work was uninstalling updates on Google Messages (I am on the beta for messages), then reinstalling the updates, and for now we are working.

I was having the same issue. To fix this, remove your sim and put it back in. This will resolve your rcs
