I think setting a separate ringtone for a contact is in an awkward place... it took me forever to find it for starters.... used to it being on the contact page... now you have to go to "More" to find it. Uuummmm🤔🤔🤔🤔

Zedge let's you just.. set it to a specific contact.

I just tried to set contact ringtone. It's in the contact page > 3 dots > set ringtone.

As I recall it was this way before beta. Doesn't sound very hard. Stock S23 T-Mobile
