I'm not sure the exact cause of the error, but I keep getting a continuous toast message of an error with Samsung Pay every time I scroll to my home screen page with the calendar widget

I'm getting the same error, only it's on all screens other than the primary Home screen pane. Deleting all screens except the primary makes the pop-up stop, and re-adding a blank pane will get the pop-up again when you swipe over to it.
Also, turning off the "swipe up on Home screen to launch Samsung Pay" doesn't change the behavior.

I had a similar experience but it was almost every app. Did a restart and cleared cache and so far, *knock on wood*, no more error.

This is a known issue and has been fixed internally. Fix will be included as part of next Samsung Pay update
Please disable gestures and use Buttons from Display -> Navigation Bar -> Buttons as a work around.
