I'm not sure how this works but....... ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Seems it takes our message data from being processed on the device, behind Samsung Knox to going across Google's Servers & AI processes. That can lead to AI learning from our data...

That's what I see as a possibility on the business side.. It can help the companies' AI models. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ #IJS..

It's like all the companies are doing what they can to feed and cultivate AI ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I'm aware they've been talking about ending support for years.. With that said, thanks to the Samsung Team members that did what they could to keep it running. You are appreciated. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ

What about RCS messages on other messaging services Surely there has to be some that don't run through Google servers right? I guess I should do a search online cuz I'd like one that doesn't even though right now I'm using Google messages I'm going to switch to a different one that I can customize exactly what I want

In the USA there are 2 choices. Either Google or Apple. Otherwise there are no other messaging services that have access to RCS that I'm aware of. The only reason Apple is now rcs capable is because the European union demanded it.

Oh okay I see Thank you for responding I haven't looked online yet but I might have a look later If I find any that aren't I can let you know if you want me to if like RCS is important to you and you don't want to use Google or Apple?

Thanks. Even more reason why Samsung Messages could still be active and a choice

RCS (Rich Communication Services) chat is primarily provided by Google through its Google Messages app on Android and increasingly supported by Apple (iOS 18+), as well as major carriers like T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile. It offers enhanced features like high-quality photo/video sharing, typing indicators, and read receipts.
Key details about RCS chat providers:
  • Google Messages: The default app on most Android phones, utilizing Google's Jibe network to provide RCS.
  • Apple: Supports RCS starting in iOS 18 for messaging between Android and iPhone users.
  • Carriers: Major networks like T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile support advanced messaging (RCS).
  • Business Providers: Companies like Sinch, Twilio, Infobip, and Route Mobile provide RCS business messaging services for brands to send branded messages.
RCS requires an internet connection (Wi-Fi or data) to function

I've always used Google Messages. Try adding the Gboard app and texting allows for dictation as well as typing. Easy, no drama. Sorry Samsung, but the less I use your apps, the easier it gets
