"Show Media Controls" turns off automatically when exiting the screen after turning it on.

I have the same watch but im not having this issue and the layout in my app is different then whats pictured. Im fully updated as well. 

 

 

 

 this last one is after reboots 👇🏽

 mine is under advanced, not display. I usually keep mine off anyway as i have it set when media plays and icon on the watch shows and i can tap that to get to controls rather then the controls popping up when media played, just preference but all is working as far as media settings and controls on my end.

It appears you never update the Galaxy Watch Manager app update that was pushed out yesterday morning.

Update on the beta manager app was just pushed out again to rectify this issue

We hope that your issue was resolved after installing to the latest Galaxy Watch Manager apk via Beta store. 

Current Watch Manager versions are as below:
