Spotify changing volume

Anyone experiencing Spotify randomly lowering volume while playing through Android Auto? It feels almost like it's muting (but not completely) to allow a notification.

It's called audio ducking and has always been a feature for media apps.

No. It's not the feature you are thinking of. The volume goes down without any notifications coming in and the sound changes to a very high tone version of the music. Loses all the bass and only a very crisp high tone comes through the tweeters.

I have not experienced that on Android Auto, but I don't use Spotify. The developers of that app may need to update it for Android 17.
