Unbranded on t Mobile will still need to wait for samsung to release XAA. Unbranded devices are not updated by the carrier like branded is,

Its for ALL tmobile even Boost locked or unlocked (paid for = unlocked on all S23 ultras or still owe carrier money = Locked) 

Branded means Carrier Locked OR a phone that ONLY works with that carrier and cannot be used with other carriers usually due to the phones limitations (old phones)

Branded means the device came from the Carrier and must be unlocked to use with other carriers but no matter what carrier is used once it's unlocked, its still branded to the original carrier. Unbranded means the device did not come from a carrier, it came from Samsung directly with no carrier branding and is already unlocked from the factory.
