I don't know whether it's because of the newest version of Waze or it's the beta. I often share my route with my wife and shortly after getting this most recent update her notifications are now showing up in Portuguese. Neither one of us speak portuguese, nor are our devices set to any foreign language settings. I have also reached out to Waze directly.
As issue involves a 3rd party app, fix needs to be performed from the application side. It would be best if you let app developers know of this issue through their support channels.
