DiscussionsLast night, after an update of Android System Webview, webview dependent apps such as Gmail crash immediately. I've gone through the troubleshooting, by uninstalling updates to webview, same with Chrome, disable chrome but the issue persists. Any other suggestions?

DiscussionsI've been having the same issue after the official One UI 5 update, i.e. version BVJA.
Today the WebView app had an update through the Play Store, I updated it thinking that this recent update would fix the issue, now it is worst, I can't even open Samsung Members (I'm using my laptop to write this reply) / Galaxy Store / Waze / Opera / All BANK APPs / Google Search and many more, all of my work profile apps also not working properly.
Help.

DiscussionsFixed for me after removing work profile and removing secure folder. I can live without those for the moment--or at least until Android 13 out of beta. Thanks to those posting solutions in here.

DiscussionsI removed work profile, uninstall WebVIEW, restarted device and then updated WebVIEW and still having this issue.
And now I can't get the working profile. Before uninstalling the work profile, I was getting email and meeting notifications, and I could join the meetings from the actual "join meeting" notification. I tried to re-install work profile but to do so I need to get the "Intune Company Portal" app, but when trying to open this app it crashes and closes, similar to all of the other apps previously reported in my last post (i.e. Samsung Members / Galaxy Store / Waze / Opera / All BANK APPs / Google search / Personal Outlook) due to this WebVIEW problem.
Do we have any report from Samsung at least stating that they are working on a fix for this? I truly need my working profile / apps back in good shape.
At this moment I have my working profile removed, and I have the "Android System WebView" app installed and updated (note I don't have the "Android System WebView Beta" install).
At this point I took one step backwards, no working profile (which it was half working before) and any app dependent on WebView is not working. At least I had the working profile half-working by receiving notifications and able to join meetings.
Can anyone share a step-by-step guide on how to get either the work profile or the apps that are depending on WebView to work?
This is extremely frustrating. My phone only works for calls / text / WhatsApp / google maps. I can't login to my bank apps (which I REALLY need), Waze, tik tok, Amazon, not even ESPN fantasy football app. I don't text or do calls, it's like not having a phone at all 😫

DiscussionsI had Fold4 running the beta with a work profile and Secure Folders.
After a GP update to WebView, apps that relied on WebView stopped working (eg. gmail). Rolling back the WebView update did not resolve the issue.
The steps I used to resolve (for now) are:
-uninstall the WebView updates (return to factory WebView)
remove the Secure Folder
-remove the Work Profile
-Clear the Cache Partition, and Repair Apps
-upon reboot, confirm gmail was working
-take the WebView update, confirm gmail was working and reboot
-install the Work Profile, reboot and confirm gmail was working. WebView is viewable as an app from SETTINGS > APPS > WORK.
-since that time, WebView has updated via GP on 11/3 (ver 107.0.5304.91)
-also beta OS update to ZVK1 with Nov security patch on 11/2)
I have not reinstalled the Secure Folder, but IF I really needed that I think it would work now. And if it did not I would install the WebView beta and then 'install/copy" to the Secure Folders and hope that the Work profile access to the standard WebView remained intact.
Beyond that I plan on holding steady until I received the official 13 OS and then take it from there.
I hope this helps as I understand your frustration.

DiscussionsAnyone was able to get work profile to work?
Removing work profile, and adding the WebView to the secure folder fixed the issue with the phone apps, and now that I'm trying to set up the work profile, when installing the load profile using Intune Company app, required by my company, the Intune Company app crashes in the middle of the creation of the work profile. I really need the work profile for my day to day work duties
