I have an unlocked phone from Samsung, if I switch from Xfinity mobile to Google fi, how will the updates be handled? Will I remain in beta/receive official update?

Feel free to share you experiences. I'm thinking I probably just leave the beta prior.

Thanks.

It is recommended to switch after, since the beta is tied to your (unlocked/tmobile) device and switching networks will kick you out, all you will need to do than is to DM USBetaModerator3 and they should let you back in

I have an unlocked phone with Verizon. I was with other companies and always got the beta but didn't switch during the beta time, so I don't know. All I know is that you will always get the beta no matter what company you're with because it's an unlocked phone.

@-CROW- But did you not once specifically state that your unlocked device ends with the "U" model, but is in the beta currently? It is correct that the carrier does not matter if the phone is factory bought unlocked (model name ends in "U1") direct from Samsung or like Best Buy. But if a phone is bought from a carrier that has its firmware on it, it will end in a "U" only and then only T-Mobile devices are eligible. It does not matter if the phone is unlocked by the carrier even after meeting carrier conditions, if the device end with a "U" only, the Members app will flag that as ineligible sans formerly being T-Mobile.
