I have a similar problem with Google Messages if I try to send a photo from my PC using Phone Link. I filed a bug report in beta feedback.

I had such a problem even before the beta, haven't had it since the beta, but I don't text that much, so...

On the sending from Phone Link it told me it didn't send however it did. It is a weird and annoying glitch. When it comes to Google messages, I've only had issues when I had a bad connection.
