I have absolutely zero issues with my proximity sensor, but the diagnostics on Samsung Members has NEVER successfully recognized my palm.. One UI 3 included. Has anyone gotten this one to work?

An update! It passes if I put the phone up to my ear! Such an odd issue

😕 Like I said it's no trouble because my phone works fine, it's just confusing as to why Diagnostics says it's failing.

Well, my reply was to say, "the Proximity check succeeds here", per screenshot 🙂

.
The same test is in Diagnostics (at bottom of screen) in
(phone) Settings > Device Care
... but no doubt it's running the same app as Members

Hello @MochaVex ,

You need to perform an action that closes and open proximity sensor during test like placing a hand and moving it away from proximity sensor. If you don't have anything close to proximity sensor it would say Action required.
