I have absolutely zero issues with my proximity sensor, but the diagnostics on Samsung Members has NEVER successfully recognized my palm.. One UI 3 included. Has anyone gotten this one to work?

An update! It passes if I put the phone up to my ear! Such an odd issue

šŸ˜• Like I said it's no trouble because my phone works fine, it's just confusing as to why Diagnostics says it's failing.

.
The same test is in Diagnostics (at bottom of screen) in
(phone) Settings > Device Care
... but no doubt it's running the same app as Members

Hello @MochaVex ,

You need to perform an action that closes and open proximity sensor during test like placing a hand and moving it away from proximity sensor. If you don't have anything close to proximity sensor it would say Action required.
