I have this same issue- home button becomes non-responsive after not using watch for a while (10-60 mins?). Then, upon trying to wake watch via back button or screen touch etc., watch remains non-responsive with a completely black screen.

If you DO NOT do a hard reset, and just wait a while, the watch will start working again normally and responding to button presses

I think Samsung just went overboard in trying to save battery life... probably for the use of AI that no one wants

Now we get a non-functioning home button.

Thank you for your feedback on unresponsive screen issue. 

It seems that your watch is behaving abnormally as if it was on Do Not Disturb mode. 

To help us better understand this issue, please submit an error report through the Samsung Members or Galaxy Wearable app on your device:

Galaxy Wearable Beta app> Search for "Contact us" > Error reports (Screenshot would be more helpful)

Note: To ensure relevant log information is included in the error report, submit the report within 3 minutes of encountering the bug or error, and do not terminate (swipe away) the Samsung Members application until you are notified that the report has been sent. This can take up to 5 minutes.
