Switching carriers

I am looking to switch from T-Mobile to Verizon. Will this be an issue since I am apart of the beta?

It is. Unlocked and t mobile. If you read different posts its either people with an unlocked phone with a SIM carrier name or t mobile

I did buy the T-Mobile variant directly from Samsung. Would I still be able to unlock it or would i have had to buy the unlocked version directly from Samsung?

You can contact tmobile to get it unlocked, as long that phone is not black listed and has no remaining balance they will unlock it.
