By grouping notifications from the same app, users can have a more organized and streamlined notification experience. Grouping notifications could provide users with a clearer overview of their incoming messages, alerts, and updates, improving their overall user experience.
That's actually how it's always worked (at least it did with One UI 5), but they changed it for One UI 6 Beta and I'm honestly not sure why they thought that separating the notifications, instead of grouping them together, was a better idea 🤷🏼.
