I’ve been using One UI 7 Beta 6 on my Galaxy S24 Ultra, and I wanted to share some of the issues I’ve encountered in hopes that Samsung can address them in future updates.

• Battery Drain

After updating to Beta 6, I’ve noticed significant battery drain, even with minimal usage. This seems to be an ongoing issue in the beta versions, but it’s becoming more apparent in this release. I’ve tried optimizing battery settings, but the problem persists. Is anyone else experiencing the same?

• Design Inconsistencies

There are noticeable design inconsistencies in this update. Some UI elements appear out of place, and color schemes don’t match across different screens and apps. This inconsistency can make the UI feel unpolished, which I hope is something that can be ironed out before the final release.

• Animation Smoothness

While Samsung aimed to improve animation fluidity in One UI 7, there are still issues with laggy and choppy animations in Beta 6. Transitions between apps and home screens don’t feel as smooth as they should. The animations often appear jittery, affecting the overall user experience. I’ve tried clearing the cache and restarting, but the problem remains.

Suggestions for Improvement:

• Battery Optimization: Improve the power-saving features and background app management to prevent unnecessary battery drain.

• UI Consistency: Polish the design to ensure all elements align with the new aesthetic of One UI 7.

• Smooth Animations: Refine the animations for a more fluid and responsive experience.

• App Stability: Focus on improving app performance and reducing crashes.

Overall, I love the direction One UI 7 is heading in, but these issues need to be addressed before the final release.

Hello,

Thank you all for your detailed and passionate feedback. We understand that as One UI continues to evolve, expectations for both functionality and consistency grow higher—especially from long-time users who’ve supported Samsung through the years.

We sincerely appreciate your honesty around issues like battery drain, animation fluidity, and UI consistency. These topics have been echoed by other Beta participants and are currently being reviewed by the development team. Your suggestions around prioritizing core performance improvements before adding newer UI features have also been noted.

Additionally, we’ve seen ongoing discussions in the community regarding concerns about trust, feature prioritization, and visual coherence. Many users, like yourself, have pointed out that features like the new battery icon, quick panel layout, and customization limitations may feel like a step backward. Others have expressed a desire for more meaningful user choice—such as the ability to retain older UI elements or remove unused components.

While not all feature requests may be implemented immediately, your feedback helps shape future directions. We’ll continue sharing your input with the relevant teams and will push for continued refinements based on what users value most.

We truly appreciate your continued participation in the Beta Program and hope to regain your confidence through meaningful improvements in upcoming releases.

Regards,
One UI Beta Team

Just like the new battery icon that hardly anyone likes was reviewed and kept and the majority of people in beta and outside beta said they didn't like it and yet you kept it with no alternatives. You didn't have to change many of the visual things you did and I don't feel like what anyone in the beta said mattered. Because we still have clunky, laggy, childish looking parts and we have a horrible battery icon that most people don't like so I don't really believe what is told to us anymore. If you want people's trust it takes action. No action has came from Samsung to address the problems. You released the S25 series with buggy software and you have the audacity to act like you are concerned and you are surprised you are losing trust. The company also didn't address any critical questions concretely and after going through beta testing from December until now we are supposed to believe any of the clear lies you are telling us that represents the company? This blows my mind and it's pathetic. We are not dumb, senseless idiots who can't see what is actually happening vs what the mods say. If they are clearly the opposite of what you say and have been saying that means you and Samsung are lying. Simple as

You do not do anything with what users value most. Every person in the beta and with an S25 sees that. And trust is loss because you continue to say things with no action behind it and if you cared about the customers truly you would actually focus on what we want and make the changes to reflect that. Not push on us what you want us to accept. Any person with a little bit of sense knows, if a dog bites you, don't put your hand near it. Samsung has been saying the same lies from the beginning and no actions have matched your words. And everyone is quite aware of that fact. Most are also aware you sold S25's with buggy software and some people say if you want stable versions get the S25. Only problem is the S25 isn't stable either. And if you do a little bit of research it's undeniably true and it's easy to see the facts about everything and why getting the S25 wouldn't benefit someone simply for the software. I don't think you even begin to grasp as a company how many people do research and do know facts and do know what is going on and know it's exactly the opposite of what the mods are telling us. 10 easy minutes of research is all we need and we have it in the palm of our hands. I also know that Samsung is more focused on AI implementation than anything else and that's not going to solve any of the other problems and that's all Samsung talked about mainly at the unpacked event. Then you are going to start charging for things most people don't care about. I won't pay a penny for anything AI from any phone brand. You have totally destroyed your reputation and trust to most people by your repeated actions that go against what we are fed in the beta forums. You act like it's 1 thing. It's many many things over months and it's clear you are not customer focused anymore and your generic answers are wasted because you say the same thing and then things get worse. Have since before the beta but especially since the beta started. Exactly why I won't buy the S25. Minimal improvement and some features removed from it that make no sense. The screen is 6.9 from 6.8. Big deal. And the resolution, peak brightness and everything else is the same. Battery is the same. No Bluetooth on the s-pen. Buggy software. Yeah no thank you for me choosing to downgrade to a newer model phone. So if you want to know why you are losing trust there's your answer and you tried to sidestep it in your response because you know everything I said is why you are losing trust. If you see ongoing discussions regarding trust with the company why aren't you taking any actions to fix it instead of spouting the same generic things you have been from December when the beta test started? You really believe you are any more credible if you have been saying something for almost 4 months and no actions were taken and things that were important to the customers were completely ignored by Samsung? You think we don't remember that it has been the same things said from the beginning? On top of that you tend to delete forums where people are talking about stuff like that. I've seen it happen so many times. It feels purposeful and I'm sure others in the beta have noticed it as well if they pay attention. We try and work together to help your company and users and we get mocked by being lied to over and over and over again. That's why people are losing trust in your company. That's why people are talking about it, not just in the beta forums, but highly regarded tech companies that talk exclusively about tech and what is going on with it. Sammy fans. Android police. GSM arena. So tons of people are aware of what is going on and why we have trust issues and it's not just in the beta forums it's all over the internet so you should be aware of that

I'm also having my battery drained on my S24 Ultra. It improved a bit by clearing the data of Google play service, uninstall it's updates and then updating it again. But be aware your Galaxy Watch will break and you will have to restore it and resync it
