I think it would be really helpful if it didn't matter if you swiped right or left in the quick panel or the notification panel, to get to the other panel. Sometimes I use my phone on my left hand and sometimes on my right hand.
The natural motion of swipe for the thumb is away from the hand, so it's different direction for each hand. It would be helpful if the panels looped back to each other and didn't matter the direction you swiped.
