After the new update fixed the wild overcalculation of miles when walking or exercising, I'm still seeing the recorded mileage being overestimated by 20 to 30%.
I determined this by recoding hikes both on my watch, and using the Alltrails app on my Galaxy S23.
For example, my watch recorded 5.72 miles on a hike, but the Alltrails app recorded 4.14 miles. For another hike, the watch recorded 3.06 miles , while my phone recorded 2.44 miles. The Alltrails app lists the actual mileage of each trail, which is why I know that my watch is over reporting the mileage traveled.
