For people who aren’t tech-savvy, some settings aren’t obvious. With One UI 7, managing app notifications became more complicated.
You now have to enable “Manage notification categories for each app” in Settings before seeing categories, which isn’t intuitive.
The Quick Settings panel could be more flexible. Like the home screen, there should be an option to show icons only without labels. Swiping left/right to access it would be faster than always swiping down, and it should appear either in Quick Settings or the Notification panel, not both, to save space.
The Modes & SmartThings panel also needs a toggle to hide it for users who don’t use these features, similar to multi-SIM info.
Native apps like Settings, Messages, and Contacts waste space when scrolling. The app name centers after scrolling instead of staying in the top-left, which feels somehow for me.
Finally, Samsung Cloud notifications are annoying. If there’s less than five minutes of no internet, whether leaving Wi-Fi range or turning off mobile data, the “Couldn’t backup” notification pops up constantly. There should be an option to turn off that app notification entirely and also to schedule backups at specific time like every midnight daily/weekly/monthly.
Wouldn’t these changes make One UI cleaner and more user-friendly?
