Recently when using my laptop I noticed that when I type on my keyboard the keys no longer light up, the top keys to control volume and brightness with the fn lock on are the only ones that work, and I'm unable to switch the performance modes at all. I thought it would be a fix as easy as going to samsung settings since most of those features are found there, but when I try to opening it there is a message that reads
"service is not working.
to run samsung settings, you need to install the Samsung system event controller driver.
install the driver through Samsung update"
I followed this advice but any attempt to download a driver fails, and the one time I did get it to download the error message and problems persisted.

ComputersI experience the same issue since the latest update of the Samsung Settings App via the Microsoft Store. Any ideas how to solve the problem?
