I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. I keep the text input method set to Gboard, occasionally switching to Multiling O Keyboard for other languages or characters. (I'm a linguist, so I need this functionality.) The "Choose input method" panel has these 2 options, with Gboard at the top, and Samsung Keyboard, which I never use, at the bottom of the list. Occasionally when I start typing in various apps the Samsung Keyboard comes up without my asking, and I sometimes don't notice it till I've started typing and can't find the character I need, or hear the clicking on each keystroke. How can I stop this from happening?

Galaxy S21"Show keyboard button
[Small print:] Show [keyboard mini-icon] on the navigation bar",
then "Gboard" or "Multiling O Keyboard" on the list. You may have to select "Show keyboard button" in Options or Settings.
