I purchased a Samsung smartthings station in early May.

Installed it a week or so later.
Scanned the QR code... doesn't work.
Try to enter it manually... doesn't work.
Keep in mind, the device connected. The message said the warranty was registered automatically.
I can use the station. It just doesn't show up on the Members website.

I tried each several times... nothing.
I come to online tech support four (4), yes 4 times.
Each time I was assured that they would take care of it. I was glad. After all, I purchased it from Samsung on the shop Samsung app.
Nothing... so I was foolish enough to call.
Smarthings tech support is NOT open on the weekends.
I called today. I just got off the phone with them.

After about 45 minutes of trying this and that, you guessed it... Nothing.
Several times we tried the same thing expecting different results.
Typing in the model and serial numbers in several times... there's not enough characters in the serial number. They said see the A about a mile to the right? You need to include that..
Was I supposed to guess? Come across it by telepathy?

By accident, I used my S23 Ultra to take a picture of the underside of the station.
IT RECOGNIZED THE STATION...
Bing bang done...

It would not recognize the code during installation. But the camera saved the day!

Samsung should be embarrassed this happens.

Hello Bazzoink, Thank you for posting. Registering products using the camera isn't as common.

We will post a link that provides the many ways customers are able to register their products. It also includes some troubleshooting steps. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00089142/
