Washer model WA40A3005AW
My washer quits mid-cycle and most of the lights come on and the "extra high" light blinks. I don't see where I can attach a picture so I will try to illustrate how the lights look:
WASH-OFF. RINSE-OFF. EXTRA RINSE-OFF SPIN-ON. CHILD LOCK-OFF
DOOR LOCK-ON
HOT-ON. EXTRA HIGH-BLINKING
WARM-ON. HIGH-ON
ECO WARM-ON. MID-ON
COOL-ON. LOW-ON
I purchased replacement support struts and installed them this morning. I replaced them because I got some bad advice from another website. They told me that the above light configuration was an indication that the spin cycle was out of balance and the rods were likely the problem. I started a load this morning after the repair and it never had a chance to get to the spin cycle. It quit earlier than that.
Frustrating. Money I could have used for the real fix, whatever that turns out to be.
I'm handy enough so I can likely do whatever you recommend. It's just that i have reached sort of a troubleshooting dead-end.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike B.
