Is no way to use a third party music player in Android auto??? I think it is time for Google and Samsung to implement or leave us using other music apps.

@Super-Ovni But 3rd party music apps can be used (Spotify, Pandora, Amazon). Is there a specific brand music player that is wanted to be used? If that is the case, search the music player developer or the music player names and check if it works well with Android Auto.

I have to open youtube music up before it will play through aa. This started during the 3rd beta. Never had to open youtube music before

You can add any music player into the android auto but you have to go into developer mode then allow unknown sources.
Go to Settings/Connected Devices/Android Auto go down to Version then tap it quickly to enable Developer Settings. After all that stuff you'll see 3 dot icon on the top screen on Android Auto. Enable unknown sources.
