Android 14 Beta 2 from Google implemented bit perfect audio sampling when using an external DAC. Has Samsung already implemented this? Do we now have Apple music transmitting bit perfect hi res audio through an external DAC?
I'm wondering the same thing I use a external DAC and I see the Bit rate change when listening to hi res audio but I don't think it is correct for example when I play 24/96 the DAC changes to 192 not sure if it's stays at 24 bit or changes to 16 bit but does sound good especially when I believe beta 2 or 3 they did something with the sound that makes it sound better
I thought it was just me. I use a Fiio KA5 DAC for my headphones on a Samsung 22 Max. It used to play and show the correct bit rate. But since the update to Android 14 (beta) with UI One 6.0, 44.1k shows as 48k and 96k shows as 192k. If I switch to my tablet S9 tablet, same thing. If i switch to my iPad or my laptop it works perfectly. I hope that's fixed soon. I use Apple music for android and Tidal and get the same results. It also happens with UAPP and Neutron as well.
